Since 2006, Cherish International has strived to improve the lives of underprivileged children in Africa, particularly Malawi. Our biggest success story was Mountain View School, an establishment for children with hearing disabilities, which grew from a mere 24 pupils (ages 5 upwards) to over 175.

About Cherish International

These days, it's easy to take for granted how our basic needs are met. Food, water, shelter, health care, education – all the things we experience as readily available, are not as easily accessible in third world countries. In fact, for the most part they're not accessible at all.

Cherish International, a UK-based charity, has been established to look after the well-being and welfare of underprivileged children and orphans living in Africa and Asia. A large number of these children struggle to fend for themselves, with little or no support from the government or their families. Our mission is to help these youths gain access to support, by providing the necessary funds to meet the costs of providing food, basic healthcare and education, among other needs.

Firstly, I would like to start by thanking you for your kind, generous donations and ongoing support for deaf children at Mountain View School in Malawi. The school has 175 children of which 50 of them are sponsored supporters like yourselves.

I would also like to thank a few of you that have made Cherish International’s past events such as the annual fundraisers (notably Bina and Viraj Suralia, Mamta and Hitan Patel and Shelly Bansal), the resounding successes that they were, and a special thank you to Pradeep Thakrar for all his support in aid of our cause too.

We are also especially grateful to Roger Lee (Roger Lee Optometrists, Sherringham) who continue to support us by donating glasses to children in need.

Over the past few years, Cherish International’s efforts have ensured that the school is on its way to self sufficiency, and as such, we have decided to concentrate our efforts on two new projects, which are also based in Malawi and require our support.

We ask that you continue your donations at this time, so that our brand new initiatives receive as much support as Mountain View did and made it the success it has become.
